Helicopter

When Caleb first started to talk, one of the first words he couldn't pronounce correctly was balloon. It came out more like bah-boon. It was so cute though. I always meant to capture it on video but never did.

But I managed to get this on video. He's trying to say helicopter. So cute!

7 months

The big milestone of the past month...becoming mobile. I can't officially say he's crawling but he's figuring it out fast. (and definitely faster than I'd like).



He also started eating solid food and is getting better at it. I think he is a fruitarian. He isn't really into the veggies I've given but will gobble up banana, apple and pears.

Boys Club

Jamie: I'm going upstairs to watch basketball
Caleb: I go upstairs watch basketball; Daddy, Caleb, and Lucas go watch basketball
Me: What about Mommy?
Caleb: No, Mommy downstairs

It's okay to start panicking right?

What is it about the cell phone? Caleb crawled to get to it, now Lucas. It's more than likely because I always have my iPhone to check email, facebook, and Huffington Post.

Buster Posey

This morning I asked Caleb if he wanted to wear his Buster Posey t-shirt since Buster won the National League Rookie of the Year award. At first he wanted to wear his other Giants shirt but I told him he wore that yesterday and it's in the laundry basket. I told him this shirt says "Posey". He said, "like Kuya's?" I couldn't believe he remembered that my nephew AJ was wearing a Buster Posey shirt on Saturday!

Building Houses

Caleb has been really into "building houses" with his blocks. It doesn't feel too long ago when he stacked 3 blocks for the first time. Here's a typical conversation:

Caleb (pointing to a newly built house): Mommy, look at my house!
Me: Wow! That's a nice house. Who lives there?

There are many answers to this question but he usually says Daddy, Mommy, Caleb, Lucas, or even a couple of kids from preschool. He even said his teacher's name once.

The other day he built multiple houses so I pointed to each one and asked who lives there. There was a house for Daddy, Caleb, and Lucas. No house for Mommy.

So I asked, "Where's Mommy's house"
He thought about it and said "I don't know"
Me: Can you build one for Mommy?

He then proceeds to take two blocks, stacks it, and declares that it's "Mommy's house!"

Going Bananas

The introduction of solid food hasn't been as smooth or as easy as it was with Caleb. So far I've tried giving Lucas rice cereal, avocado, banana, butternut squash, sweet potato, and oatmeal. Thus far he's only really liked bananas.

GIANTS parade

We went. It was crazy. But it was memorable.

So once the Giants won the World Series, Jamie said we had to go to the parade. I hesitated because I didn't want to deal with the crowds and mob mentality. But somehow Jamie convinced me.

To make it easier on us, we decided to leave Lucas at home with the nanny. The plan was to drive up to the Millbrae BART station and take BART into the city. We got on the road around 8:45am. We hit a little traffic and arrived at the Millbrae BART station where we saw it was JAM-PACKED!! Jamie made the decision to keep on driving towards San Francisco. We got lucky because we just kept on driving on 101 and then on 280 towards downtown SF and the freeway was CLEAR. We parked at the Mission/Minna garage and was on Market & Powell by 10:45am. Jamie and I couldn't believe our luck.

Caleb had the best seat - atop of Jamie's shoulders. In the beginning he had this look of "what's going on?" Towards the end of the parade, he was waving at the players and the people in the parade. It was soo cute.

After the parade we stopped by our Jody Maroni's and Jamie actually helped out and worked the register. One person had quit that day and one of the registers was broken. The lines for all the restaurants were long. The parade was definitely good for business. If there was a parade every day in SF, we'd be making some serious $$. By then we met up with both my sisters. My sister took her kids out of school for the day and from the looks of it, so did many other parents. It also happened to be my niece's 3rd birthday. I think she thought the parade was for her. haha!

All my pictures and videos from the parade sucked because we were several rows behind other people. But oh well... I was there :)

not quite crawling

Lucas can roll around a lot making diaper changing hard. Right now, he's able to push up on his arms but hasn't figured out how to get up on his knees to move. It's soo cute to see him try.

He also babbles "mmmaammma" Pretty close to mama if you ask me.

Trick or Treating

This Halloween, Caleb went trick-or-treating the real way. Luckily our friends the GVZ's invited us to their house. They live in an awesome Halloween neighborhood. We were not disappointed and to be really honest, Jamie was jealous. We're coming back next year.
