Lucas 6 month stats

In addition to the usual 6 month shots, Lucas received a flu shot. Poor little guy. I hope he gets some good rest.

My Pretty Boy

While shopping at Whole Foods today, two different ladies commented that Lucas is pretty. One lady called him "she" and I corrected her. I told both of them that it wasn't the first time that Lucas was mistaken for a girl or the first time someone has said he's a pretty boy.

btw...Lucas was wearing blue pants, a white collard onesie, blue/white socks, and brown shoes. Not a hint of pink so I don't really understand how anyone could mistake him for a girl but whatever. I think it's kind of funny. Since I'm not going to have a girl having a pretty boy is as close as I'm going to get :)

Yay GIANTS!

I am a Giants fan. Jamie grew up in LA which means he's a Dodgers fan. We went to a Giants vs Dodgers spring training game and Caleb wore a Dodger hat and Giants onesie. Jamie will always be a Dodgers fan. But it makes me happy to say he has totally been into watching and cheering for the Giants in the playoffs. When the Giants won the pennant I (like hundreds of others) updated my Facebook status. And this was Jamie's comment:

"and I'm a Dodger fan. Damn these likable Giants! I think I even said Caleb should stay up since he'll be a Giant fan. if you told me a year ago that I would soon accept, even encourage him to be a Giant fan, I would have politely walked away to find a quiet tree to sit under and weep."

Lucas - 6 months!

It's just going way too fast the second time around!

He's rolling a lot. He is starting to move around in circles. He started eating solid food (so far brown rice cereal and avocado). He smiles a ton when anyone talks to him. He's gotten better at napping. On good days he has two 1.5-2 hour naps. We're working on sitting. He can stay up for a little bit but then falls over. No teeth but his gums are swollen, there's constant drool and most of the time he's gnawing on something. He still wakes up in the middle of the night but it's mostly out of habit. I've been working on trying to get him to self soothe. It's progressing slowly. Eventually he'll sleep through the night. In a nutshell Lucas is a growing, happy, and healthy baby boy.

brotherly love

Caleb is an awesome big brother. Lucas follows Caleb around all the time and smiles at him a lot. It brings a big smile to my face seeing them interact with each other. My biggest hope is for them to be great friends.

Looks like Lucas loves food like mommy and daddy.
