We're talking about slowly potty training Caleb. I found a
Thomas & Friends potty chart online and Caleb's nanny gave him some stickers for it. I showed him the potty chart and said if he goes on the potty then he can put a sticker on it. He got excited and said he wanted to go. I seized the opportunity and off we went to the bathroom.
Now sitting next to someone who is going to the bathroom is awkward even if he is my son. I kept saying that I was going to give him some privacy and to let me know when he's done. He insisted that I sit on the bathtub. To pass the time we read a book about going potty. Every so often I asked if he was done (even though I know he wasn't). He tooted and said he pooped. I corrected him. Now let me warn you about the next part of the conversation and take notice of the title of my post.
Caleb: The pee is inside of my pee pee
Me: Yes.
Caleb: Where is your pee pee Mommy?
Me: Um... I don't have one
Caleb: Why don't you have a pee pee?
Me: Because I'm a girl and girls don't have pee pees. (Starting to panic)
Caleb: Like Rosie? (
Rosie is one of the girl steam engines on Thomas & Friends)
Me: Yes, like Rosie.
Thankfully this line of questioning ended. I think mainly because Caleb passed more gas and then actually pooped and peed on the potty. Hurray!
He was super excited that he pooped and peed and got to put stickers on his potty chart.
