Our friends were coming up to visit from LA and suggested we meet in Monterey. Boy we lucked out! Monterey can be a bit like San Francisco with cooler weather. As it turns out the Bay Area had a heat wave which made Monterey very warm and GORGEOUS.
We spent New Year's Eve in Monterey and took Caleb to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. To our dismay he wasn't really into the aquarium. 8 months and multiple watchings of Finding Nemo later Caleb was thrilled. He was running from tank to tank pointing at all the fish. At one point he said "Oh My GOSH!" I wish I had that on video. Jamie and I enjoyed every minute of Caleb's newfound love for sea creatures. On our last morning in Monterey he asked to go see Nemo one last time.
Caleb also had a fun time hanging out with almost 5 year old J. He followed him everywhere and preferred holding his hand to ours. He copied everything J said and did. It was fun watching those two. I thought maybe this was a tiny glimpse of what life will be like with two boys.

glad to hear what a good time you had and that the weather cooperated. C wasn't into the aquarium either when we took her last year...maybe it's time to try again.
R loves nemo too and asks to put it on every morning. that and thomas are the only things he'll watch, but only in like 2 minute segments at a time.
