Le Boulanger Tour

Caleb's Parent Observation class took a tour of Le Boulanger bakery in Sunnyvale. It was fun to go inside and see the process. I learned that their croissants were made using 4 POUNDS of butter and14 pounds of dough. EEK! The kids were good in the beginning listening to him tell us about where the wheat comes from and then let them each have a piece of dough. The tour was a bit long for 3 year olds and so by the end they were all getting hungry and antsy. Prior to the tour we were told that this was the last time they would do a tour for 3 year olds. The bakery was going to have a 5 year old age minimum. At the end of the tour each kid got a goody bag that contained a muffin, cookie, and baguette. YUM!

Dough to make a cinnamon roll. It smelled good!
