First Giants game

My sister had the idea of getting the family together for a Giants game to celebrate my parent's 44th anniversary. This was also going to be the boys' first time going to AT&T park. It seems kind of surprising that it took this long for us to take the boys to a game but Jamie preferred to wait until one of them was old enough to understand baseball. Given Caleb's newfound interest in the game we knew it was the perfect time.

The day started off at Pier 39 where we had a late lunch. We hung out at Pier 39 and we were lucky that Roger Craig was in one of the stores for an event. Jamie got a picture with him. We all wanted to get to AT&T Park early so that we can get in line for the promotional Giants cap giveaway. Jamie also wanted to take Caleb to see batting practice in the hopes of snagging a ball and seeing the players up close. Once in the park I took Lucas directly to the Fan Lot to go on the slide and the Little Giants Park. Lucas wasn't tall enough to go on the big slide but luckily he got to go on a little one. When Jamie and Caleb joined us we took Caleb to the Little Giants Park but he was too tall to get a chance to bat. He was allowed to field balls which he enjoyed a lot. Once a kid hit the ball he would run to the ball and then step on third base. He then would drop the ball into the bucket. Lucas was able to bat and he even tried hitting a ball thrown to him instead of using the tee. When we finally got to the seats poor Lucas was already asking when were we going home. (The game started at 7pm). It had been a long day. We just supplied Lucas with hot chocolate, churros, and half a hot dog. I don't think he sat still for the whole time we were there. He was either walking in the aisle, on my lap or climbing/standing on the seats all the while asking when are we going home. Caleb was into the game and was totally happy he saw a home run. By the time it hit the 7th inning we knew we had to go home. It was a fun time with my whole family.
